LBC | Capital continues a legacy of evangelical higher education in Philadelphia that dates back nearly 50 years. See how God has continued to be faithful in training students in Philadelphia.
The history of LBC | Capital’s Philadelphia location can be traced to the Center for Urban Theological Studies (CUTS), founded in 1971 in part by Dr. Bill Krispin, and Geneva College. In 2012, LBC | Capital replaced Geneva College as CUTS accreditation partner. With the retirement of CUTS’ president in 2015 LBC | Capital accepted responsibility for the CUTS legacy and its commitment to deliver biblical higher education to Philadelphia students.
While the name of the institution has changed, our dedication to developing and equipping passionate Christians to serve in the Church and society has not. Today, LBC | Capital continues the nearly 45-year CUTS tradition of offering Christian higher education to Philadelphia and surrounding area students, from its location in the heart of North Philadelphia.
